Apple is planning to stop Chat Support for Customers on X(twitter)

Apple will stop providing human support to users on the X social media platforms (formerly Twitter) and YouTube. A recent report claims that Apple’s chat support service will be shutting down in October. Apple Support Account on X will stop sending human responses to support requests via Live Messages next. According to the report, along with X and YouTube, the service will also be removed from the Apple Support Community online forum. Once the service is removed, users will likely receive automated messages on these platforms, redirecting them to the Help Center. The report comes a few weeks before the iPhone 15’s launch.

As reported by MacRumors, citing an unnamed source, Apple will be removing the role of social media support advisor on X, YouTube, and the Apple Support Community Forum starting October 1. meaning users will no longer receive human responses to their blog queries. YouTube platform and comment section. Instead, they will receive an automated response that redirects them to other ways to connect with Apple Customer Support.

The report also suggests that Apple is giving chat support staff access to phone support locations within the company itself. Hundreds of employees could be affected by Apple’s measure. Additionally, the company also doesn’t allow employees to switch to another chat support role unless there’s a medical issue, the report added.

Additionally, the report says the company will also train employees on the hotline role, and the process is expected to be completed in November. Apple will begin offering customer support on X/Twitter in 2016. The company shares tips on how to use Apple products and respond to user queries on the platform.
